What Year Did You Start Supporting United
Can't remember exact time I started but Alex Brown was playing for United at the time.
Why United
Had a choice of going to United v. Queens Park or Dundee v. East Fife (both on the same day). I hated East Fife - Dad used to take me to Raith Rovers matches! - so went to see United. Followed them ever since.
First United Match
As said above, v. Queens Park at Tannadice in the early 70's.United won.
Favourite All-Time Player
Dave Narey.
Favourite Current Player
Barry Robson - The Ginger Nutter
When did you first hear about the Glenrothes Arabs and how?
-
Most Memorable Goal
Craig Brewster 94.
Best/Favourite Goal
Iain Ferguson's lob v. Hearts 1986.
Regretted Missing a Game
Missed a game v. Hearts at Tannadice because I had to run a marathon! Think Tommy Coyne scored a hat-trick.
Favourite Away Ground
The Nou Camp.
Worst Away Ground
Used to be Airdire's Broomfield. Currently Dens Park.
Best Home Match
5-0 v. Borussia Moenchengladbach 1981, Eamonn Bannon's wonder goal.
Best Away Match
2-1 v. Barcelona at the Nou Camp 1987.
Ever Cried at a Game
Yes, May 1994.
Proudest United Moment

Beating Barcelona in Spain.

Furthest You've Travelled to Watch United
Barcelona, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Gothenburg.
Favourite English Team
West Ham United.
Most Disliked Team
Dundee tops the lot.
Most Prized United Possession
A football signed by Tommy McLean's United squad, that I received on my birthday, about 6 years ago.
Statto Fact
Represented United in the London Marathon in 1995, and shared a shower with a nurse (female!) afterwards.

Ian's son Alistair also travels with the Glenrothes Arabs.
