Scott Crabbe
Midfielder/Forward

United Debut: v Aberdeen (A) 1-0 3/10/92.

Signed From: Hearts *swap deal + £215,000 2/10/92.

Transferred to: Falkirk 19/1/97.

Crabbe came to Tannadice in a *swap deal with Allan Preston, making his debut the next day in a 1-0 victory at Pittodrie, and he missed only a handful of games from then until the end of the season. His first goal for United was a free-kick against Aberdeen at Tannadice later that season, as United fought back from 2-0 down. Crabbe was in his best form during the 1993/94 season, scoring against Brondby as United again came back from a 2 goal deficit, and again in the 2nd Round of the Scottish Cup against Arbroath. It was in the next round of the Cup against Motherwell where Crabbe broke his leg in the replay at Fir Park, and he had to watch from the side-lines as United went on to win the trophy for the first time. Out for a year with the injury, Crabbe came back as United lost the relegation battle in 1995, but helped the club back to the Premier Division before moving on to Falkirk.
