Craig Easton
Midfielder

United Debut: v. Aberdeen (H) 4-0 1/1/97.

Signed From: S Form 31/8/95.

Transferred to: Livingston 2004.

Easton broke into the United first team under the management of Tommy McLean during the 1996/97 season, and went on to play in over 30 matches the following season, scoring his first goal for the club against Aberdeen in the League Cup semi-final at Tynecastle. If fact Easton's first three goals for the club came against Aberdeen, including a 5-0 win at Tannadice and a 3-0 win at Pittodrie. As Paul Sturrock took charge in 1998, Easton became a regular in midfield, and missed less than 30 matches over the next 5 seasons. Easton also scored in a 2-1 win over Celtic at Tannadice in 1999, and scored one of the goals in United's unforgettable fight back at McDiarmid Park as Alex Smith's team fought off relegation in 2001. By the time Ian McCall had come in and built his own team, Easton was used more as back-up, and when his contract ran out at the end of the 2003/04 season, he left for Livingston.
