David Hannah
Midfielder

United Debut: Partick Thistle (A) 4-0 13/2/93.

Signed From: Hamilton Thistle 4/8/91.

Transferred to: AEL Limassol 9/7/02.

After a couple of matches sitting on the bench, Hannah made his debut in the infamous 4-0 win at Firhill where referee Les Mottram missed Paddy Connolly's "goal". After just a handful of first team appearances, Hannah was drafted into the 1994 Scottish Cup Final team after the suspension of Billy McKinlay, and had a fantastic match as United won the trophy for the first time. A regular in midfield the following season, Hannah showed his emotions on the final game of the season as United were relegated, but after a contract dispute left for Celtic for £650,000 in 1996. Brought back to Tannadice by Paul Sturrock for £300,000 in 1999, his much needed battling qualities were a major part in United's fight against relegation in 2000-01.
