After Guido Van de Kamp refused to sign a new contract with United after the 1994 Scottish Cup win, manager Ivan Golac was forced to find a new keeper for the 1994/95 season. Henrik Jorgensen was brought in form Vilborg and went on a close season tour with United in Malaysia, but lost confidence after a disastrous first match of the season at Easter Road where United went down 5-0 to Hibs. Alan Main won his place back and played in the next 10 matches, until he had to be substituted after an injury during a match at Ibrox. Jorgensen came on and played well but this was to be the final United match for both keepers, as Kelham O'Hanlon became first choice until the end of the season. Jorgensen's only other match was a 1-0 League Cup victory over St Mirren at Love Street.
