After the departure of Kelham O'Hanlon, Billy Kirkwood brought Lance Key in as cover for Ally Maxwell for the start of United's first season back in the Premier Division. Maxwell received a long term back injury and Key got his chance, making his debut in the match that heralded the second Scandinavian era, with Pedersen, Olofsson and Zetterlund all playing together for the first time. Key played in all 4 matches that month, including a 3-3 draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie, but by December Tommy McLean had brought in ex-Motherwell keeper Sieb Dykstra and Key never appeared in goal again and was released before the end of the season. |
