Signed before the start of the 1988/89 season, Krivokapic had to wait a month before his first start due to the delay of a work permit, but slowly settled into the first team, confusing many referee's when they asked for his name and number! By 1990 Mio had replaced the outgoing Paul Hegarty in the No.5 jersey and formed a solid defensive partnership with Dave Narey and Freddy Van der Hoorn. A skillful centre-half who rairly crossed the half way line, he scored his only goal for United at Fir Park against Motherwell in his first season. Mio missed only a handful of games from 1989 to 1991 but missed the entire 1991/92 season after walking out on the club, but returned to the first team for a few matches midway through the following season before leaving for Motherwell in 1993.
