Stephen McConalogue
Forward

United Debut: v Celtic (H) 2-1 23/5/99.

Signed From: 1/7/97.

Transferred to: Clyde 9/5/03.

McConalogue came through the youth system at Tannadice, notching many goal scoring records in the Youth and Reserve Leagues, before making his first team debut on the final day of the 1998/99 season as a substitute against Celtic. McConalogue began to make more first team appearances after Billy Dodds had left for Rangers, but he failed to hold down a place, making 18 appearances. He scored his first goals for the club by scoring a hat-trick against Alloa Athletic in the League cup at the start of the 2000/01 season, and also scored in a 3-5 defeat to Aberdeen at Tannadice, but again he only managed 14 games during the campaign. McConalogue scored a late equalizer against Dunfermline at East End Park, but again only appeared 14 times during the 2001/02 season, and after spending the majority of the 2002/03 campaign on loan to Clyde, he was released by United and signed on at Clyde.
