The ex-Aberdeen and Celtic winger was signed by Tommy McLean after the player's second spell at Aberdeen, and made his debut in the opening game of the 1998/99 season at Rugby Park. Miller remained in the first team squad after Paul Sturrock replaced McLean as manager, and he missed only 7 games from October until the end of that season. Ironically, the two goals that Miller scored in his time at United both came against his former club at Pittodrie, where he scored in a 3-1 win over Aberdeen in November and again in a 4-0 win in April. He also appeared against his other former club in a Scottish Cup semi final at Ibrox as United were beaten 2-0 by Celtic. After just one season at Tannadice, Miller was released at the end of the 1998/99 campaign. |
