Jerren Nixon
Winger/Forward

United Debut: v. Hearts (H) 3-0 8/1/94.

Signed From: ECM Motown (Trinidad) 21/12/93.

Transferred to: FC Zurich £200,000 18/7/95.

Signed by Ivan Golac midway through 1993/94, and after a few appearances from the bench, made his first team start at Easter Road where he scored the winner against Hibs. A lightening fast left-winger who would take on the opposition for fun, neither the defenders or the crowd knew what he was going to do next. Golac once claimed that Nixon was so skillful that he'd soon be worth £20 Million! Nixon joined the club just as the 1994 Scottish Cup started, missing only the Arbroath game on the run to the Final, and came off the bench for Andy McLaren in the second half of the Final. Scored in both of United's European Cup Winners Cup matches the following season and a fantastic solo effort against Clyde in the Scottish Cup, but was sold by Billy Kirkwood after United were relegated.
