Tommy McLean signed the 31 year-old French full-back from Le Havre after the opening game of the 1998/99 season, and he made his debut two days later in a League Cup match against Stirling Albion at Tannadice, where United eventually won through on penalties. Just 4 games later Tommy McLean was replaced by Paul Sturrock after a poor start to the season, and Pascual went on to play in just 18 games that season with persistent injury problems keeping him out of the first team. The following season Pascual was a near ever present in the team, missing only 5 games as United climbed to 3rd in the League, then dropped to battle at the bottom end of the table after the departure of Billy Dodds. At the end of that season Pascual was freed by United in May 2000. |
