Markk Perry
Defender

United Debut: v. Aberdeen (H) 2-2 12/12/92.

Signed From: Cove Rangers 3/8/88.

Transferred to: Aberdeen 2/6/98.

Aberdeen born and bread, Perry made his debut against his home team in a fantastic match at Tannadice in December 1992, where United fought back from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw. Less than a month later Perry scored his first goal for the club in another extraordinary match at Ibrox as United again fought back from 2-0 down but lost out 3-2. Perry didn't figure much in the first team under manager Ivan Golac, playing in only 22 games over the next two seasons, but became a more regular starter under Billy Kirkwood in the 1st Division. As Tommy McLean came in as manager and took the club to third in the Premier League, Perry became part of a regular defence with Malpas, Pressley and Pedersen, and hardly missed a match over the next two years. When his contract ran out at the end of the 1997/98 season, Perry signed for Aberdeen.
