The Russian born Israeli internationalist was signed by manager Paul Sturrock at the start of the 1999/00 season, and made his debut at the end of August against Kilmarnock at Tannadice. He scored in his second game for the club, a 3-1 win over Hibs at Tannadice, and soon became a favorite with the fans with his style of play. He scored the winner in a 2-1 League Cup win over St Johnstone at a cold McDiarmid Park, and also scored a cracker against St Johnstone at Tannadice in a 1-0 League win, and in a 3-2 defeat to Hibs at Easter Road. The little midfielder then started to struggle in the Scottish game, disappearing from most matches, and at the end of the season he returned to his former club in Israel after less than a year in Scotland.
